Our immediate family includes Jon and Michelle and our children Rachel and Rhianna.
Jon is ¼ Tlingit and ¼ Tsimpshian (Alaska Native tribes), hence the name. While we
have an interest in keeping the language alive, we are not and will not pretend to be
native speakers of Tlingit. We chose to add the morpheme -kwaan, meaning “people
of the place” Baines as the sites with baines.net, .org, .com, etc were taken. We
have different interests that are reflected in our pages as they are added and updated.
We are still learning HTML and CSS (with a touch of Perl), so please be patient
as we add to our site. As for the Perl, don't hold your breath, its going
to take a while...(and stop laughing). I may go to Moveable Type even though I don't blog. Again,
don't hold your breath. I can get a template working but haven't figured out yet how to
customize the page. So much to do...
